This Week's Topic:

Hi!

Question: How long does it take after you've edited and posted a fic to be able to re-read it without feeling like you're going to throw up?

(I'm seriously emetophobic, so typing the words 'throw up' is very hard for me, but no other phrase comes close to expressing my feelings on this matter.)

Of course it has nothing to do with my Leo-ness, but it has everything to do with bits like this:

Erestor knew, as he had known throughout the age, that the sea was too large to comprehend. The place where Glorfindel’s kisses took him was too much like the sea.

.. that make my vision dim briefly, then when it returns, I'm seeing as bees do, in ultraviolet, colors that don't properly exist, and it's beautiful and feels wonderful and strange in my chest. It causes me to view the world around me a little differently, and that's the hallmark of a damn good story - you have to readjust your thinking to make room for it to stay for awhile.

And then you write these descriptive paragraphs that, again, say exactly what I wanted to say, but couldn't. Ah. You must write. And draw. And also write.

Erestor is terrified of ships. I think I'm happiest with Chap.3 on and I'm sticking with it. Again, who needs plot?
